I believe we’ve all heard that the sponsors of the Antenna forum and the Contest forum chose to move these out of HARA and hold these in downtown Dayton, instead. The reason for this is that the two groups believed the space available at HARA was inadequate for them.

As a result of this, a couple of the Board family members asked me to find out about transportation to and from these forums. The answer is that as of today no transportation has been established. Hamvention Chairman Gary DesCombes told me that the sponsors of these forums (Forae? Four-eye?) were responsible for arranging any transportation – they chose on their own volition to move from the space offered them at HARA.

One could pick an argument pro or con for the Hamvention committee’s decision; however, I agree with Gary even though his decision makes it complicated for people who will attend these forums.
