It looks like CT received the same storm that dumped quite a bit of snow and ice in SC. It is noteworthy if we get ANY snow, let alone snow that sticks around for a day or two. Our temperatures will be down to a low of 18 degrees tonight-a challenge for our heating and insulation here.
I remember going to the board meeting last January, wishing to see finally see snow after not seeing it for 4 years. I didn’t get my wish, but have seen it here 3 times since. You have to watch what you wish for!
Hopefully CT will allow safe travel next week for the meeting. See y’all there!

Well, the storm is just about over and it has set a record at the official weather station at Bradley Airport: 22.5 inches of snow, beating the old mark of 21.9 inches. Those of us in the hills, and possibly elsewhere in the state, have a bit more than that to contend with. Two feet is probably a good number given that with this much, a couple of inches one way or the other doesn't make much difference.
Things should be back to normal tomorrow, assuming that those of us who are still waiting get plowed out by tomorrow morning.
