The Collins ARC has been active with this project for some time. What started out as "an afternoon's work" has been going on for several years now. The prime movers are NY0V and K0DAS, though others have contributed lots to the project. Both of these guys were on the first search voyage a year and a half ago. 73, Wade W0EJ
Nice segment on ham radio on the Travel Channel now (0530 gmt). Has a group of Rockwell Collins hams and them using signal strengths to find Emilia Earheart. Nice clips of their radios, etc. Good interviews with them, too. One call was NY0V. Had nice segment while he's operating at his station. Another call was WB9OMY I think. Wade may know about them.
