ODV,
The FCC’s 3.4 GHz Notice of Proposed rulemaking, adopted on Sept. 30, was published in this morning’s Federal Register.
Comments are due by Nov. 20 and reply comments by Dec. 7
Items open for comment:
While the FCC’s deletion of the amateur secondary allocation for 3.3 – 3.5 GHz will become effective on Nov. 7th, the related issues still to be decided and subject
to this round of comments before a final decision is made concern the shut-down dates for amateur operations.
Existing amateur operations as of Nov. 7 are permitted to continue operating until dates to be determined. The FCC proposed to require amateur operations to sunset in two phases,
each for a 100-megahertz segment.
