All –
Has anyone experienced a really long delay in receiving
their ARRL QSL card order? I placed my order with Dave Patton – who
I’m not blaming in any way, shape, or form in this email – on February
1. I received my proof via email on about April 1. Today is May 11
and I’m still waiting to receive cards in the mail.
I’ve not contacted Gennady UX5XO (print shop) directly
since I don’t want to step on Dave Patton’s toes. Patton
mentioned that Gennady UX5XO needs a certain number of QSL cards ordered before
he can do a print run. That doesn’t quite make sense to me since
UX5XO probably fulfills many custom orders on a regular basis. At any
rate, I ordered 1,000.
UX5XO’s website says “Cards will be printed
within 3-4 weeks upon receiving order and payment. Post delivery takes 1-2
weeks.” Close to 14 weeks after placing my initial order, I’m
still waiting.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with their ARRL QSL
cards via UX5XO and, if so, should we consider doing business with another
print shop that’s more responsive, regardless of whom the paying customer
is?
