This could be accomplished with an agreed-upon disclaimer at the beginning of the video... and a commercial for ARRL membership at the end. The linking to their content without credit is worse than their using an ARRL logo - this is - was - a self-initiated activity by a duly elected section manager, after all. They're leveraging hundreds of volunteers, thousands of viewers with (generally) interesting programs. Why WOULDN"T we want to get behind this? It seems as though we're stuck in the 20th century. This is a viral activity with real content. I agree on embracing the content. I've presented to them a couple of times. The last one I did was about Software Defined Radios.
Where I disagree with them is the potential misuse of the ARRL brand. They and the League's media team (defined loosely as anyone who publishes content on behalf of ARRL) have to be careful not to represent the views of RATPAC as the views of the ARRL. I must say it is hard to tell sometimes because this content is often shared as ARRL presentations so people may think that it is official position of the League, when in fact it is not.
So as long as it's clearly defined that RATPAC's positions are not the official positions of ARRL, I don't see an issue linking, using and appropriately crediting their content.

In today's ARES Letter, there was a write-up of a presentation by a
group of physician/amateurs about HIPAA. One of these was Gordon Gibby, KX4Z, an Assistant Director in the Southeastern Division. Quoting the newsletter, emphasis mine:
Many ARES and other groups have formal relationships supporting the health care sector. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy protocols apply to working with hospitals and other health facilities. Here are links to a recent presentation on HIPAA by two physicians And links to the presentations follow.
The authors of these newsletters, the outside organization K7REX created to host these organizations, were not credited in the ARES Letter article.
Here's what I have said before: This is the largest group of amateurs that gather in a public forum on a weekly basis. I do not know what happened, why this GREAT, INFORMATIVE group is not being EMBRACED by ARRL.
There are now DOZENS of videos available about Winlink, Youth in Amateur Radio, emergency communications techniques, presented by DOZENS of amateur radio operators.
It is a mistake, in my opinion, to alienate and ostracize this group. Their material is prolific and all the field leadership that are actually LEADING are involved.
It is my preference that staff find a way to "mend fences," embrace and promote this phenomenon. It is a huge miss not to do so, and we will regret this over time.
And let's get an errata published for the ARES Letter, crediting the organization which generated this IP, and perhaps the presenters.
