With local persistence and a good letter writing campaign, Congressman Peter DeFazio (D-OR) has agreed to become a co-sponsor for HR 4969. The Northwestern Division has had some success in its efforts to find co-sponsors but seems to be facing a little resistance due to some spirited campaigns leading up to this election and having large geographic areas that are not impacted by antenna regulations. Even so, we now have two and are about to engage in a final push.

I attribute the success we have had to the hundreds of Hams that took on the challenge, and attempted to mimic the 'blue card campaign' of Mr. Maxim and Mr. Tuska. My hat is off to the NW Division members.
