Joe met with two (2) different window contractors to obtain quotes to replace the eleven (11) windows on the station. He updated the web code practice files and their
archives. Joe continues with cabling the installed 4O3A high power band pass filters. He processed the remainder of the 2013 IARU W1AW/4 QSL card request and foreign cards. Joe continues updating Logbook of the World with the various W1AW/xx Centennial operations
as well as sorting/storing the QSL card requests being received for each operation.
Field Organization/Public Service Team
Leona reports that she has received an SM nomination petition for Richard H. Jackson (Skip), KSŲJ for the Minnesota section. This is for the term beginning October 1, 2014. Ballots have begun to arrive at
ARRL HQ for the upcoming Maine Section Manager election. She also has received three OO recommendations for Illinois and one for the Virginia section and has forwarded the study materials and exams.
Chuck compiled and forwarded the monthly ARRL Monitoring System/Intruder Watch report to the IARU Region 2 Monitoring Coordinator. More reports were received regarding a pirate radio station YHWH heard on 40
meters in the western United States and DFing assistant was requested from the FCC. Several more reports were received regarding the Iranian Over the Horizon Radar on 10 meters. Documentation was received regarding interference to a local 2 meter repeater
in South Carolina, the investigation continues.
