Greetings. FCC releases on Wednesday showed the filing of a petition for rule making by Robert H. Birdsey, WI4J of Royal Palm Beach (I guess that is where the REALLY rich folks live, as opposed to just regular old Palm Beach). A pdf file is attached. The petition was filed March 19, 2002 and in one page, requests that the FCC modify Section 97.113(a) and (b) to delete the prohibitions on transmitting music and broadcasting. He claims they are unconstitutional intrusions on non-commercial, individual expression. Comments on this bare petition, if any, would be due August 2. Replies August 17. 73, Chris W3KD
