Most of you probably know this but the Board used to meet in March and October. In my mind, the two perfect times of the year to be in New England. Rod Amateur Radio W6ROD ARRL Int’l Affairs Vice President

While I stand second to no one on the thought that New England is the best place in the world to be in July, I’m OK with Denver this one time.
BTW, other good months to be in New England are January, December, February, November, March, October, April, September, May, August, and June.

One upside to Denver is NOT having to go via ORD :) Downside to Denver, is the new BOD members and the rest of us miss out on the one on ones with staff as Mike noted. I have to imagine the logistics are also harder being in Denver for any committee meetings that typically take place the day before. We are all very capable of doing this remote, but nothing takes the place of face to face discussion.
Just my piddly .03 from the back row.

Personally, I would rather meet in CT, but only for the reason that I would be able to have meetings with some of the staff members in person while I am there.
Keep in mind that while we were in Denver we were divided into three separate rooms, not one large one. I did like the fact that there were other meal options within easy walking distance from the hotel.

I understand that currently the Winsor solution that I suggested is not available, therefore I think that if Denver is available at this late date it should be considered for our July in person/virtual hybrid Meeting. As Ria mentioned, the setup in Denver was ideal…

I too thought Denver worked very well in August. That wouldn’t be a bad choice for an July in person/virtual hybrid meeting.

Traditionally our venue at Windsor has only utilized ½ of much larger room. May it be possible to enlarge our meeting room at Windsor to provide safe space by opening the room dividing folding doors?

I agree with Bud on this.
The setup in Denver was ideal I think.
With that in mind, are we really married to Windsor for the next meeting? If another venue can provide better safety measures I wouldn’t mind going there instead.

Far easier and safer to let some remote-participation electronics gear sit idle than to attempt to jerry-rig a hybrid set-up at the last minute. (Yes, I understand there is a cost associated with a hybrid set-up.) Also, for the time being, at least, I believe microphones at an in-person meeting should not be shared.

Hello ALL -
I do agree that the shot will provide a path forward to allow controlled group gatherings with vaccinated individuals. Similarly I plan to be vaccinated as soon as possible - but there might be some people who are on the shot-clock after long-term symptoms of infections, who for medical reasons will be delayed in obtaining the vaccinations.
I do happen to be in that group and the advice that I have been given for a possible timeline might allow for the two-week wait until full efficacy after the second application of the Pfizer vaccine. If in my case that timeline does not hold and for anyone else similarly unable to travel to Newington then I certainly would demand that the technical details of a hybrid meeting be implemented.
