A publication solicitation emailed to 52,000 members on Nov 20.
The Winter 2008 Publication Catalog was released to press on Tuesday
11/20, with delivery expected January 1, 2008.
The customer service team is busy processing membership applications and
product orders following some email solicitations sent before the
Thanksgiving holiday.
Two large membership mailings have been released to print. The mailings
will be sent to 60,000 leads, and test two very different appeals. One
of the mailings includes some variable text, allowing a more targeted
and personal appeal. Both mailings will drop on November 30.
During the short week, the Warehouse crew fulfilled 434 packages for
publication and product orders, shipped 211 free book membership
premiums, and 2 December QST mailing supplements.
We've taken delivery of the new 9th edition ARRL Operating Manual.

Our License Expiration Notification service, provided to members since
1997, has been expanded to Clubs. A license expiration notice is
automatically mailed to the club once the club license is just outside
the 90-day window for renewal. Included in the monthly mailing will be
a letter, a 605-C club form and simple, straightforward instructions on
club license renewal. Initial notifications were printed and mailed on
November 8 to 506 Clubs.
NON-Vanity club renewal applications must go through a Club Station Call
Sign Administrator (CSCSA) of which the ARRL VEC is one. Club licenses
with Vanity call signs must pay a FCC regulatory fee and may renew
either via the FCC Universal Licensing System or through a Club Station
Call Sign Administrator. The ARRL VEC will process club vanity license
renewals for a modest fee (see "Processing Fee Schedule" below).
ARRL VEC Club Processing Fee Schedule:
Non-Vanity License Renewal or Change No charge
Vanity License Change (address, name) No charge
Vanity License Renewal $16.70 (includes the current $11.70 FCC
regulatory fee and a $5 ARRL VEC processing fee)
